We need to get rid of that music,it causes lag when you join the server,and makes errors in console. I've crashed bunches of times when I join the server when its clean and barely anything on it,and crashed because of that music...

The errors in console are because the toolgun noises were removed.

My gmod9 crashes every 2/5 times when I start it, gmod is just not stable.

What does everyone else think?

I think the music fails..

I crash also, but I know like you say - It's Gmod.

The music still fails. I also turned it down a little..

MOTD-Music is friggin annoying, no matter what kind of music it is :/
I deactivated displaying the MOTD in my gmod, so i don't really care anymore :D

i would like a tip on how to disable motd. please do share.

i dont care about the music personally. i have never crashed while the music plays. and removing the toolgun sounds was a good idea. i hated having to listen to a magnum shot every .5 seconds.

- Go to /Steam/steamapps/SourceMods/gmod9/mods/-modcache/
- Create a file called "textwindow_temp.html"
- If it's already there, open it with a text-editor and make it empty
- Now, rightclick it, and pick "Properties"
- Make a tick near "Write-protected"... so the file can't be changed anymore
- ???
- Profit.
