Admin Models

Just a heads up to everyone that joins the server now.

I have been working off and on for a while on a model for us FaceWAN admins, currently there are only 4 skins used out of a total of 16 slots.

When an admin with one of those skins joins their skin will be set to their particular one, as a safegaurd to players claiming to be admins when they are not, you will not be able to set your model to an admins skin unless you are one.

The models and skins will stick out, an admin is not required to use the skin, but if asked to verify that they are they can change their model to it.

Currently only Chicken(me), Espeon, and Vulpix have one. Don't expect to find every admin with a skin.

For the admins that would like a skin added for them please post here.
I will need your image that will be stuck on the arm patch for the model (preferably the source of it).

I seem to have lost the psd
Although i still do have all the materials to remake it and not all of it need to be redone.

so I will be working on that this morning in the mean time though I do have some pictures of what it looks like.

These pictures where taken a long time ago, but the arm patch and the front logo is where the img will be placed.

I've uploaded the psd to the server, the places marked with green are your's to edit.

Please try to keep them within the green boxes, as i have done this before i do remember how shitty it looks if you go out of them.

I would like the psd back with the edits that you have done, "NOT MERGED OR AS A JPEG". As after I receive the image back I have to do several things to map it back as best as is possible to the model. I will show you the results before it is merged into the remaining bunch.

Just out of curiosity, how does this work, exactly, in terms of other people being able to see it?
Do they have to download the textures, or what?

There is one model that is downloaded by the player.
there are 16 skins that are also downloaded, since we are only using 4 currently, there is room for several more skins, I will be making a skin for the regular admins, there is some code that will have to be inserted into your gmod so that you will be able to select the model

I have to work on the code to set your skin correctly as it is currently hit or miss.

Falcon I'm not mad at you, giving you a skin is not an issue.

They will auto-download on connection to the server. Like a map does.

Is anyone working on their own skin right now?
I finished the ADMIN skin for anyone that only has admin and not their own skin.

I'd like to have my own skin, but I'm a novice at photoshop. Plus I just bought Photoshop CS3 extended.

The default admin skin was also setup earlier

I will be uploading the files to the server in a few minutes provided everything else pans out

Yeah, okay. This is cool.

I've heard of special admin models on HL2DM servers, but this is the first, and most altered, I've ever seen.
Only others are some models available on FPSBanana that are just Combine soldiers with the word ADMIN across the chest and back. These kick ass, though.

The model is solid the code to set it on the player is a little buggy
I'm going to leave the code in the init folder so admins will have to use ulx_model to set it on themselves untill I find out why it keeps bombing out.
so when you join if you are admin use that command and it will set your skin

Exprienced something when I was playing with you on G-Mod9.. I set my Graphic Resolution to Low for Textural Details and suddenly...you became a Blur and I crashed....weird....never gonna do that again..and also thats one heck of a skin you got there....better then most of the mods I seen out there with Custom Skin.

I made several others as well, a scanner, copter, strider, and a turret(don't like this one).

These skins were made back when there was a army so to speak in facepunch before the E Fort V3 was released.

I don't know why texture low resolution would crash you.
