I'd never buy a laptop - they suck ass for gaming - I bought an acer aspire 8920 for 100 € (135,94 $) and the ATI graphics card produces more input lag than anything else on the planet - It's basically my desktop box when i'm at boarding school during the week (screen not even repaired yet - just hooked up a monitor, keyboard, mouse, and there we go)

Got the laptop for that cheap because the backlight on the screen is broken :D

So far the only problem I've had is some minor screen-tearing after starting Borderlands. After that, it clears up considerably. I still need to take the time to reinstall all of my games again.

Yesterday, one of my friends surprised me by asking if I wanted a Tribes: Ascend beta key. I vaguely remember the older Tribes games but I searched up a few videos of the new Tribes. It looked fun so I downloaded the beta and installed it.

After installing the beta, I decided to try out a few rounds of TDM. It was very fast paced and the skiing feature was pretty unique while also being fun. I suck at the game right now but I hope to get better at it before it's fully released.

Also, DVI is alot better than HDMI apparently
With the HDMI cable black looked like horrible backlight bleeding

The difference was amazing when i opened my black rectangle in paint with the DVI cable plugged in :D

Oh.. My Video card crossfire setup just died for few days ago. ATI... shit quality. I want to go back to Nvidia next time.

Yeah, I never went to ATI. I read about some guy who bought a top tier ATI card that cost like $300 at the time, and the fan on it broke. The card itself fried.

Better not go with a GTX460 either, it tends to overheat a lot, but just not enough for your computer to shutdown (100˚C exactly).

I am currently setting up my main pc, cause i bought win 7 64bit ( i got win7 32bit before ) and put 2 more new 2gb Ram sticks in and got now 8gb (4x2gb).
Also as i said a few weeks ago a new Graphic card , new power supply , processor, 2x1 TB Hard Drive RAID 0...

Have to copy much stuff , and the biggest problem is , i need to download around 30 Gb .... and that with lower then 260kb/sec. Hmm takes a while :D

And that all for Battlefield 3 ... invested around 1200 € to play BF3 on Ultra Settings at high FPS and no kind of lag or something. Also i will tryout Crysis 2 and Batman AC with dx11.

Hehe, got so an good computer and decided to play Minecraft with that " High-End Graphic Block " :D. I´m still waiting until we get an MC Server

Everything was good until I read there, RAID 0 isn't very reliable these days. It combines both drives to make things a little faster at the cost of reliability. Now if either drive fails you lose all your data. Yeah, at RAID 0 i lost one day al my datas ... sometimes i need to take my mainboard outside the computer and if i link the 4 cables wrong 1 time, i´ll lose my data. But one time it recovered all datas full automaticly. Anyways RAID 0 is faster... it reads and writes faster.
RAID 1 just reads faster , cause my datas are saved on both hard drives and it can read it from both at the same time. At RAID 0 the datas are 50% there and 50% there. But if one of the hard drived break i will loose 100% , cause i cant do anything with 50% half datas.

It just a double so high chance at RAID 0 that i loose my datas. But i dont have s much worth datas an my computer... and No risk No fun :D
