installing windows 8 is a pain in the ass...
at first the installer couldn't find any partitions, then i went into the bios to enable AHCI because i remembered that i wanted to enable it long ago...
suddenly the installer continues when i click the partition i wanted windows 8 on? :confused: anyways, i can't wait to see if i get more fps on windows 8 :D

That being said though, the newest windows OS' are REALLY picky when it comes to hardware and file types.
I had an issue like that where my windows installer would continuously crash and I had no idea what was causing it.
After an hour of scouring the internet, I found this god awful 3rd world website which gave me the answer.
Turns out, the issue was that one of the plugged in drives was a "Dynamic" type of NTFS so it kept crashing during the load.

I don't think I'll be using Win8 though, the style just doesn't quite suit my preferences.

...Well apparently someone hasn't read any gamer reviews or seen any tests done on Windows 8.. But commonly you actually lose FPS going from Win 7 to Win 8, so I think you may be a little disappointed..

Ever played on a CRT at 120hz and with your mouse update rate set to 500hz? (if USB! - PS/2 causes direct hardware interrupts anyways as far as i know?) You need to do that once in your life, the difference is soo huge :D Computer mouses that can go up to 1000hz seem to to be rare :(

Also, mouses that go upto 1000hz isn't that rare lol, even my cheap ass G400 has 1000hz via USB. Now if you believe this is wrong, complain to Logitech about false advertising.. not me.
And to reply to everyone about their monitor refersh rates, mine is at 2ms grey to grey which is the rate most monitors come with today.
Although like we see how Toxic did here, you could get something a little bit cheaper by skimping on the refersh rate and what not.

Well after a good amount of playing Black Ops 2, it's safe for me to say that it was not a waste of money for me. Been playing five hours on the campaign and I haven't finished it yet, maybe that's because of me playing on veteran but regardless, the campaign is pretty goddamn fun.

Multiplayer is still pretty much the same chaotic gameplay, but I honestly don't think CoD will ever change that nor do I want it to change. Plus it's fun hanging out with Infinity and shooting him in the face with a shitty Chinese Type 25. Almost all players use sub machine guns with laser sights though which is sad.

I've only played Zombies for a few minutes but it seems the be pretty much the same which I don't mind.

Overall, if you were hesitating on whether or not to buy this game, I'd either buy it now or possibly wait for a sale in the holidays. It's actually a good CoD with effort put into it.

Every few months the whip out a new COD which is almost the same as downloading a new skin & map pack for the previous COD. If it ever goes on sale, I may be tempted to buy it.. But I just can't bring myself to spend $60 on a reskin & map pack...

While yes, a new CoD is released every year, they're usually done by different developers. Infinity Ward is the group of developers who made the Modern Warfare series and turned to shit during the development of MW2. Treyarch on the other hand, they made some of the best CoD games: WaW, BLOPS 1, and BLOPS 2. Treyarch usually decides to do something new with their games(a setting that isn't WW2 or modern in BLOPS, zombies, an interesting story, unique maps, color that isn't gray or brown, and balanced gameplay.) unlike IW who just reskins shit and makes unbalanced maps.
