Im back!

This worked for me:

right click server, view server info, copy IP address, go to console, type : connect IPADDRESS


ex:

connect 123.456.67.7654

The IP for the Gmod 9 Server is public.facewan.com:27019, so in console it would be connect public.facewan.com:27019.

hmm this is weird...
When I do that, it loads all the way until it gets to Sending client info! It just stops.
Is there anyway to fix this?

Did you change your gameinfo.txt yet?
It won't work at all if you didn't use the fix from here: https://eevee.facewan.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1451

Try reinstalling Gmod 9 and download the installer for Gmod 9 from the forums.
