Some of you may have noticed that in order to download files from Garrysmod.org you have to register. The registering part is easy but then you have to verify that you own Garry's Mod 10. The verification is just as pointless as age gates, anyone can fake things. With this verification system they can use a friend's account. I am trying to register right now but I can't verify my account because of the Steam Community being down for maintenance.

The moral of this story is: Don't attempt to fix things that don't need to be fixed.

Well they just wanne force everyone to spend 10$ on gmod 10/11
to use the mod packs there ow well

its kinda lame to make money on things other people post there for free and made for free..

on the other hands its there game ....

i agree very pointless in one perspective but on the other hand as they're looking at it people are getting the non steam version for free and than are able to use all the mods they want without paying their 10$ gay fee. so to prevent or discourage people from using the free hacked gmod 10/11 w.e they put a dumbshit verification on their website which is their loss in the long run on hits XD cause ppl will continue to use the free version even with that in place and just use friends to get the mods via having their friend download it and send to them nice exploit in their stupid verification already BRANDO HAX AHHH. I am not on crack

the reason why garry posted the new update is because he doesn't want people who warez gmod get all the same stuff,
