The lake is frozen it's during the winter and it where the ball first hits so it wouldn't mater if it wasn't frozen.

Where to begin.

The ball is hit at a 45 degree angle with an initial velocity of 37 m/s. After doing some simple math, the ball has a velocity of 26.163 m/s upwards and horizontally.

After you factor in the wind, this means the ball has a velocity of 26.163 m/s upwards, and 53.163 horizontally. This creates a new triangle.

After doing some A^2+B^2=C^2, I determined the hypotenuse of the new triangle is 59.252, meaning that's the new initial velocity of the ball with the wind factored in.

After a bit more angle work, I determined the new velocity and angle is 59.252 m/s at an angle of 26.203 degrees.

lol someone got to answer this he did most of the hard work.
All that is left is just plugging numbers in and working the equations

Just for info position equation is 1/2at^2 +vt+c (a stands for acceleration v for velocity c is some constant and t is time)
the velocity equation is at+v
the earth accelerates objects at 9.8m/s^2

Nope!

All wrong... he hits the golfball and the wind blows it back and hits him in the head which knocks it 399 m/s when it hits the water and sinks which means he loses his bet but then a boat passes by and knocks it back more to 244,then another bigger bot comes and knocks it to 400 m/s.... so he won the bet!

During the winter on lake Erie there is a gambler who bets his friend that he can hit a golf ball over 400 meters. His friend says that he can't, because Tiger Woods can't even hit a golf ball that far. The gambler goes to Lake Erie and hits the golf ball at a velocity of 37 m/s at a 45 degree angle. Keep in mind there is also a wind blowing at an additional 27 m/s at on his back when he hits the ball.

Does he win his bet? Provide proof with the distance if he wins his bet or not.

Equations:
Position: 1/2at^2+vt+c
Velocity: at+c
Acceleration: a (always a constant) -9.80 m/s^2

Initial velocity= 37m/s
Initial x velocity=cos(45)=x/37 x= 26.2m/s
Initial y velocity=sin(45)=y/37 y= 26.2m/s

Time to reach maximum height:
-26.2m/s=(-9.80m/s^2)t
t= 2.7 seconds

Multiply that time by 2 giving 5.4 seconds that’s the total flight time.
Add 27m/s to the x velocity giving a new velocity of 53.2m/s

Use to find distance plugging in the time. However, there is no acceleration in the x direction only in the y direction.

X= 287 meters
