I want to be unbanned.
Well i am quite new to Garrys Mod 9.
And as you may know your servers are one of the actives.
Someone (gnotze sniper) asked me if i had a console.
I checked with pressing esc and replied no.
Then i thought.
Hum well maybe he means this admin section when pressing q.
As it always worked when i was playing in singleplayer i tried to change rcon_gravity.
i don't know what rcon stands for i thought it's something that only applys to you.

Then i got a message:
"Added to ban list"
Now the Server doesnt reply anymore.
i was playing on the free build gmod 9 server.

Hey, i got banned from the FaceWAN Half-Life 2 Roleplay server because i was "Avoiding RP". There was a great argument before i was banned, and some things were abused such as the SWORD's athority. As much as i have to say is, a SWORD MPF member was trying to PK me and saying i was an Anti-Citizen, and i denied it, an argument broke out, then during the argument i had to go. I briefly explained that i had to leave and attend to other more important matters. They thought that i was leaving because i didn't want to get PK'd. Then later on i was told that i was permanently banned and to get un-banned i needed to post a request.

According to what one admin said, you were not roleplaying as an insane man. Apparently you metagamed into the resistance base with a resistance uniform. You were also arguing with an admin. Finally, you broke the new life rule twice. I'd say 31 hours is pretty generous for that and you will have to wait it off.

As an insane man I was jumping around and saying random phrases, I did so because people were leaving and I was putting on a show so they would stay and more people would come in and i didn't really go anywhere but D1's main street.

Bizzar, please think about these things. For starters, ICly you would have had to enter a code into the water machine. If anybody could simple enter by pressing a button don't you think the combine would have discovered it? Also, RPing as an insane person is fine, however you have to consider that the combine amputate any mentally or physically imperfect citizens. If you were so insane that you were saying random phrases, how would you survive 6 years under the combine's rule without being amputated? Also, how do you explain the breaking of NLR?

The machine didn't have a password so maybe you should put one on there so this wont happen anymore. And how do you know my character didn't just go insane? You dont so I really cant see why I am not being unbanned.And I wanted the combine to amputate me(which they did) but they kept killing me after i kept walking by simply to go to a new area, but thats another story.

For one, you cannot put a password on a door. Next, there is a warning in front of the doors saying that if you go in without in-character knowledge, then you will be banned.

And how do you know my character didn't just go insane?


That's not really the thing we care about, we care about the fact that you metagamed into the resistance base.

There's no point debating this, your ban will soon expire anyways.

You can stop complaining now or you can get a permanent ban. It was obvious that you metagamed. In character, you would have to enter a code on the door otherwise, like stated before, the Combine would have caught the resistance. The only people I know of who know the door code are Lent and Jade. Lent was VERY generous when banning you for only 31 hours for the amount of rules you broke. For one, you argued with Lent obviously since he was in the resistance base. Next time, please listen to the admins.

Lent banned me AGAIN FOR no reason. He said and I quote "FailRP/Metagame" What the hell? He said I went into the "rebel base" and he has ABSOLUTELY NO PROOF. And why he said fail rp? I have absolutely no idea, He is a fail admin I swear.

Lent DID ban you with a reason. The reason pretty much says what rules you broke. For one, I looked at the logs.

Wow Those uncanon props got deleted as soon as they were spawned and i was playing around with Sean. That contraband iv had wayyyyyy before yesterday, are you saying I could delete Lents props? Or that i magically knew his passwords? But it dosent matter you wont listen any how. Thats all I have to say.

I never said you stole anything from Lent. The problem is that you had a ton of contraband. I saw you had zip ties, pistols, and ammo. Where did you get that from?

Gate I really hate arguing with you since I respect you. Iv gotten that stuff just by roaming around picking up what people drop the zip ties I got from a dead cop the pistols are everywhere (by the way you should resolve some weapon issues, alot of people have them) and the ammo was lying on the ground around the nexus.

Well to start off, i really dont know why i was banned.
i was just playing in the surf server, and to my knowledge not breaking any rules, but i guess its possible since ive only played in the server for a couple days.
But i was banned by furchee for a week for supposedly ignoring admins.
i say supposedly because furchee never warned me by any means, and never said a thing to me over mic or chat, i even looked through console and didnt find anything.
the ban could be understandable/justified if i had been told what i was doing wrong and warned/slayed/kicked for doing it, but a straight up ban with no prior warning or acknowledgement of doing something wrong seems overly harsh.
thanks for taking time to read all this.

I DID in fact warn you. I believe I slayed you once before for the same reason. You however, chose to ignore the fact I told you to STOP breaking rules.

Every word of your entire post was a lie.
I warned, slayed and banned you. Many people on the server can confirm it.

Everyone I have ever banned deserved it and everyone on the server agrees that I'm a great admin. I do my job correctly and I rarely give out punishments as serious (and long) as yours.
The more you bull shit here the more I think you deserved the week off.

If you break the rules next time, I'm going to have proof (even though you think there isn't any) and the ban will extend if you keep up with your behavior. I do this to everyone. I don't perm right off the bat (like many admins do ...), I in fact, slowly work my ban lengths up.

TL;dr
As for now, your ban is removed.

As for my "assumption" to judging you as a certain type of player, there is no doubt in my mind everything I said in my first reply to you was, in fact, the truth. If you still don't see what type of a person I claim you to be, please read the first post again and this time, think for a change.

I was playing in your FaceWan CS:S Surf Deathmatch server, and I found that my hands were disappearing (no visable viewmodel)

Now I know that r_drawothermodels 0 could have causes this, because I could see player's shadows, but not their models. So what I tried to do was revert my models back to normal and I did r_drawothermodels 2 instead of 1 and it banned me saying r_drawothermodels violation. I think that it's kind of silly that the server would ban me for trying to fix something in my game.

It would be nice to be unbanned as I do enjoy playing on your servers.

Before you asked, yes I did reconnect and restart, but it's the server that didn't want me to see any models.

How can you set r_drawothermodels to 2 without forcing it (using an external program)? It's a game cheat cvar and clients are not supposed to be able to modify it. Can you explain how you modified it?

I'm not sure, exactly. But the server must had been set to sv_cheats 1 or something, because I could use other commands (r_farz, r_drawviewmodel) in addition to r_drawothermodels

Wrong. The server never has sv_cheats enabled, I also checked the logs, and no instances of sv_cheats being 1.

REASON I WAS BANNED: Was banned 3 times, so got a 1 week ban. 1 Ban was for an hour, the other 2 for 10 minutes I believe. All of them had something to do with spawn shooting/nading. That's all.

Well I was playing on Counter strike GO servers.
And since I swear a lot, I got gagged.
I unjoin, and then I rejoin to get off the gag.
And I don't know all the rules, spawnkilling and spawnshooting, that's one thing.
But I got 1 hour ban, and I have 8 bans on record.
I don't want a perma ban, because I love this server. I love it so much really.
So, all I have to say is I didn't understand the gag avoiding thing, and I don't want to get perma banned.
Also I haven't been banned yet, I just thought this was the place for the post.

Reason: I clearly wasn't camping anywhere. Alpha Wolf Kodi went on a ban-spree after a few other people were camping jail and spawn in the Surf DM server. A new player to the game was complaining about me killing him whenever I saw him; this must be why Alpha assumed I was camping. Word of mouth is not ample evidence; apparently no one was taking the time to watch the accused. I play CS DM like UT2004: everywhere and nowhere. Come on folks.
