Hello there!

I'm sure a lot of you will recolonize my name, I'm on your guys' server prolly 95% of the time that I'm playing CsGo.

I've recently been speaking to gold eяaser about adding a few new maps to you server as well as updating some of the current ones as a lot of them have small bugs in them. I've added him to friends and he told me next time when I see him to suggest some new map so he can recommend them to the owner for approval.

I'd like to go ahead and just leave a link to a map download site that has a lot of new maps that I'd like for you to consider to add to the map rotation:

Game Banana

I'm not sure where you obtain your maps from but his is a site I used to use when I ran a CS:S server a couple years ago.

I am happy to help with whatever I possibly can in order to make this server the most enjoyable it can possibly be!

We appreciate the suggestions but most of those maps we already have. If we don't have them they're usually two second edits of maps we have. It's not easy to have variation in maps when CS:GO was just released and a good portion of the community refuses to play CS:GO.(Even though it's better than CSS.)

True but most of them have a newer version released that have a bunch of bug fixes

There is a ton of good surf maps out there for CSGO despite it being such a fresh game

Game Banana isn't the only source of maps, clearly. It's just a place that I thought I'd suggest for easy downloads rather than posting a list of surf maps and making you guys go find a download source

Really lovin the server but it only had like 5 6 maybe 7 surf maps and only 3 are really a lot of fun and it seems most of the time the maps just get RTV'd if they are unpopular.

I just fixed a ton of issues with cvars on the server, working on getting some of those maps on the server right now.

Wooo !
Haven't been on CS:GO surf lately, can't wait to surf some new maps :3

I am 75% addicted to Counterstrike. What about you? :wcc:

Just added 6 new maps and replaced some old versions, when more pop up I'll add them in.

To go into a little more detail about the cvars I changed yesterday:
- Turned friendlyfire off
- Turned freezeframe when you die off
- Set freezetime to 1 second
- Set roundlimits and stuff to defaults of CS:S
- Possibly more changes to make it more like surf on CS:S

It's now possible since the last update, the devs finally allowed overriding the default gamemode!

Much appreciated, thanks for taking action on some suggestions

However, It seems the server is becoming unstable when changing to some of the maps

I haven't been able to play as much as I normally do since you added the new maps and only know 100% that when the server changes to surf beginner it crashes...

I'll post back any other things I notice.

I have removed beginner, something weird was going on with some maps making the matchmaking fuck up.

Hey,

I think the round time needs to be considered again some of the rounds are going on for the full duration with two people trying to search for each other the whole time..

Half, or Half'd then add 30 seconds or something would be more ideal.

Hello again!

Just coming back with an update with some of the maps you've added recently

The following maps are ALWAYS rock the voted and seem to be useless on the server because of their unexciting aspects and plainness and could be consider being removed:

surf_cherryberry
surf_green_b3
surf_water-run_b5
surf_skyworld

The rounds are also still fairly long and could use a cut back.

We need spawn protection on the surf server for 10 seconds, many people seem they cant comply with out server rules when they are very clearly stated when you join our server.
