The CSGO surf server is still under development and ban reasons sometimes "usually most of the time" do no go through and appear as '. People are usually banned for spawnkilling/portalcamping/excessive camping on the CSGO server. So you might be one of those people with the ban reason " ' ". Just wait the Ban out and it will be all good

Yup, good point.
However, this really shouldn't happen if admins use the console for bans, kicks, etc. The chat doesn't allow double quotes; that's the main issue and can be avoided if the console is used. PM me if you'd like me to elaborate - I spent a long time figuring out the console commands and there's an easy way to see them all.

I have yet to have this problem and I almost always use the chat commands to ban people..

I figured out what is going on with the ban reasons that have ' as the reason. The devs removed the ability to use quotes ("") in chat. If you try to type " (double quote) into chat, it comes out as ' (single quote.) Admins should use sm_ban instead of chat commands to avoid this issue.
