Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Surf Server Rules

Rule One - No Spawn Killing/Spawn Nading/Spawn Shooting

These rules only apply for the first ten seconds of a round: you may not kill people in spawn, you may not throw grenades out of spawn that pose a threat(anything that isn't a decoy or smoke), and you may not shoot from spawn.

Rule Two - No Excessive Camping

You cannot camp in a certain area for more than 15 seconds. You're supposed to be surfing on a surf server, not sitting in one area. This rule has two exceptions, objectives can be camped and teleporters cannot be camped for more than five seconds.

Rule Three - No Hacking/Cheating/Exploiting

This is self-explanatory, don't use anything that gives you an unfair advantage over all the other players.

Rule Four - No Flaming

Don't be a cunt, it's pretty simple.

Rule Five - No Ghosting

If you died, you died, you may not give locations of alive players while you're in spectate mode unless they're AFK.

Rule Six - No Spamming

You are not allowed to spam in text chat or through voice chat. The only exception to the latter is if it is approved by everyone in the server(this means everyone has to reply and approve, silence does not mean approval).

Rule Seven - Use Common Sense

This is pretty simple: don't be a fucking idiot. If something sounds like a bad idea, don't do it or ask an admin before doing it.

Other Information

Racism - It's not against the rules unless it falls under personal attacks.

Rejoining with an alternate account to avoid ban - This is NOT allowed and will result in a PERMANENT ban on the alternate account. You have been warned.

Posting ANY links in chat that link to other communities is a PERMANENT ban. It is considered as leeching away players. (This includes other community csgo ips, websites, steam groups, discord servers, TS servers and so on.)
You have the ability to private message through steam so do it that way. This is NOT negotiable.

This section will contain any new rules that are being tested. It probably won't have too much shit in it, but you should check back every time there is a new post on this thread.

Discord specific rules:

Map specific rules:

surf_Ski_2_go Mario Room (Buy zone) Killing

Since apparently people like to bull shit me that admins are slaying for this, I want to post this rule to state KILLING IN MARIO ROOM IS ALLOWED. It makes you a prick for doing so, but it's fair game. Please don't mix this up with teleport camping though, if they're camping it and shooting you once you drop in (5 second rule, please read the rule above) then it's slayable/bannable.

surf_machine~ (secret room) spawn killing and smoke grenade glitching

Running to the secret room located behind spawn on the wall between the spawn points and camping/killing inside that room is BANNABLE for the first 10 seconds. This is NOT negotiable.
There is also a SMOKE GRENADE glitch on one of the maps where you can toss a smoke grenade onto a func_brush (wall) and the grenade forever bounces on it creating an extremely annoying sound for anyone in the vacinity. The purpose of this glitch is none other than to troll other people and is therefor considered BANNABLE. If you are caught doing this, expect a day ban.

surf_japan~ spawn killing timer EXTENDED

Due to the nature of this map, it is almost impossible to reach buyzone, purchase a gun and then get away safely without being shot.
The server players have agreed upon extending the spawn killing timer to 15 seconds AND the middle river is a NO KILL zone until you both exit it for the first time.
(This means you cannot jump out of the river and kill people inside of it.)

surf_tropical~ spawn killing timer EXTENDED

Many people seem to find it okay to spawn hop right from the get go (leaving through the teleporter and then coming back to spawn to shoot others) and it has become increasingly annoying to deal with.
Due to this issue the server players have agreed upon extending the spawn killing timer to 15 seconds.

Map/Source Engine Glitches

In the Source Engine and in certain maps, there are certain glitches that can lower the FPS of players or even crash the server. Please do not do this as it will get you permanently banned. This isn't a new rule, but is being added for those who may not know just how bad these glitches can be. Getting smoke grenades or other grenades stuck in objects is part of this rule. In general, you should avoid glitching things on purpose.
