Installation:

For DoorMod, Gmod Plus, Gmow, PcTuning, and Phoenix Models: you need to extract the RAR (using WinRAR) to: "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\SourceMods\gmod9\mods" for most installs of steam. For the really old installs of steam, it would be: "C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\steamapps\SourceMods\gmod9\mods". Make sure you are not in Garry's Mod when you are doing this. When you start Garry's Mod after installing a Mod, it should show in the "Mod Manager" list if it was successfully installed.

For the Enhanced CopyGun: Extract the zip to: "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\SourceMods\gmod9" for most installs of steam. For the really old installs of steam, it would be: "C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\steamapps\SourceMods\gmod9". Make sure you are not in Garry's Mod when you are doing this. When you go into single player, it will load the CopyGun script if it was installed correctly and you should see the CopyGun menu in the dropdown for props and such.


OK I INSTALLED PHX PACK AND WHEN I SPAWN SOMETHING FROM IT (I HAVE PHX 2.2) I SEE ERROR (you know the annoying ERROR sign when you dont have the pack) PLZ HELP ME :confused:

Try deleting the -modcache folder in gmod9/mods.

I've downloaded the PHX pack, but I can't see the spawn menu icons despite placing the icons in the mods folder. Help will be appreciated. :D


NVM: got them to work. I figure that you need to install any other mod, or wait some few days for it to work.

i tryed like 6 times it still won't. i tryed playing the required games needed but it still won't show up on my games.

Where did you place your gmod9 folder?
It should be located in
\Steam\steamapps\Sourcemods

Make sure you did what Xxobrian said, then restart steam. It should be there now. If that doesn't work, do what ownage said.

Use -e_stack <number of stacks> <X Coordinate> <Y Coordinate> <Z Coordinate>

Use -e_measure between 2 points to help.

ECS Sadly comes as an installer - if you don't trust me, i recommend uploading the installer to virustotal.com and decide for yourself.

Uh i got a problem.. Well im making a Gmod 9 server..

This I did

1. Downloaded scrds-old-files
2. i created a shortcut of scrds.exe
3. in properties in shortcut file i typed this in
srcds.exe -game gmod9 +facewan_hugeflatmap_v4 +maxplayers 10

And starting the server... BUT im getting a lot of error messages:eek:

Error: texture file 'vgui/hud/800corner1' does not exist or is invalid
Error: texture file 'vgui/hud/800corner2' does not exist or is invalid
Error: texture file 'vgui/hud/800corner3' does not exist or is invalid
Error: texture file 'vgui/hud/800corner4' does not exist or is invalid

That all :(

EDIT: Yes i have the Server Files..

THIS IS A HUGE ONE!I go to a server with facewan_hugeflatmap_v4 and it tells me that I'm missing the map, so i look into the console for where it tried to download the map and it says https://eevee.facewan.com:56439/gmod9 ,so i put it in my url bar and it says that the page is gone or doesn't exist.

EDIT: Yes i have the Server Files..

I usually get a few errors about missing textures on my servers, but they still work fine, it's usually something with the way the map was made.

How To use Copygun and Doormod

how can i use copygun and doormod
In Copygun i can't copy anything
In DoorMod i can't spawn a door or a door button :confused: :(

Doormod doesn't matter, it doesn't work anyway, because it needs sv_cheats on 1.

And to copy things in copygun, right click the props you want to save, then say
-cgsave (name)

Where (name) is the name you want to give to your contraption.
If you want to load it later, say
-cgload (name)

Where (name) is the same name as you used in -cgsave.

And you can multiply props in a certain direction a certain of times - that's what most people use on Facewan to build forts/houses.

The download links have been fixed and should work without corrupted downloads. Ever since I moved the server to Linux, they have been broken, which I didn't know until now. I had to configure some options in the web server since the downloads were stopping at 50MB and would become corrupted.

I installed gmod9 from some kids youtube tutorial in 2013 or something. Wanna get on darkrp but the "other stuff" to download is the gmod9 fixed suppose to be like a big ol patch for gmod 9? new here. played gmod in glory release days and so on but once it left i could never seem to get gmod 9 ;'D

The fixed version is a community made patch to fix issues with loading gmod9, missing textures and missing models. The update to SteamPipe (using vpk files instead of the old gcf files) broke the loading of assets from other games, so we packed those in with the fix.
