Steam Constantly Freezing

On Wednesday, I started up Steam and it would randomly freeze then unfreeze. If I clicked on a button, it would freeze again. Also when Steam is running, it slows down my computer. I've done many things to try and prevent it but nothing is working.

Things I have tried to do:

Run as administrator
Restart the computer

Anyone have suggestions?

Have you tried deleting the .blob files in the Steam folder?

AppUpdateStats and ClientRegistry right?
